While Charlotte may not be the first city that comes to mind (yet) when you think of sneaker culture, Charlotte is slowly but surely becoming a key player in sneaker culture. The Queen City is the home of the Kicks & Fros headquarters as well as Social Status.

Social Status- 1519 Central Ave, Charlotte
Social Status is a boutique located in the Plaza Midwood area of Charlotte. On the shelves you can find both the classics and some of the year's biggest drops. The store often holds raffles for the most coveted releases and they have been known to give ladies early access to women’s releases. An added bonus is that Social Status is also the home of ‘Be Social’ which hosts tons of sneaker social events as well.
Charlotte Premium Outlets- 5404 New Fashion Way, Charlotte
The Charlotte Premium outlets are located in the Steele Creek/SW Charlotte area and is a sneaker lover's dream. You can pretty much find any brand that you are looking for right here in one place as the outlet is home to Adidas, Asics, Converse, New Balance, Nike, Puma, Reebok, and Vans stores.
Request Boutique- 209 S. Kings Drive #201, Charlotte
Request Boutique is a sneaker resell shop where you can buy, sell, and trade all of the latest hype that you may have missed out on. You can also “request” that the team help you find a certain kick if they don’t have it in stock.
SNIPES- 6801 Northlake Mall Drive #105, Charlotte
Snipes is a large sneaker and streetwear retailer chain that can be found all over the US, Europe and The Queen City. The store is located in Northlake Mall and carries a huge selection of fly kicks and streetwear apparel.
Black Sheep- 830 Lamar Avenue, Charlotte
Black Sheep is known for being a skateboard shop but don’t let that deter you from stopping in. Even if skating is not your thing, you can still find some pretty dope kicks here like Nike SB, Adidas, Vans, Converse, and New Balance.

I am really interested in purchasing sneakers that are blinged out (sequins etc) However I am not seeing then on them website but saw them on the Jennifer Hudson show
